An Ode to Tomas Adrian Aguado

Written with love and admiration by Derrick Bradshaw

“If you’re gonna go, go big!” – Tomas Adrian Aguado

There are men who live quietly, and there are men who leave behind echoes—of laughter, wonder, and unshakable love.
Tomas Adrian Aguado was the latter.

Tom didn’t just live life—he charged through it, head held high, curiosity blazing, and heart wide open. He was a rare soul whose personality couldn’t be boxed in or defined by a single role. He was a father, a grandfather, a brother, a thinker, a doer, a dreamer. A man of contradictions and harmony: intelligent and playful, grounded yet fascinated by the stars.

He had the type of humor that caught you off guard—dry, unexpected, sometimes downright outrageous. He could turn an ordinary day into something worth remembering. Whether he was talking aliens, ghosts, thunderstorms, or Thunderbird cars, you could always count on Tomas to bring the spark of the unexplained into your world.

He loved the paranormal—not in passing, but with a sincere fascination that made you believe, too. Black holes, gold mines, Martians, the weather—nothing was off-limits. He had theories. He had questions. And oh, did he have stories.

But beyond the mysteries of the universe, Tom’s true center of gravity was his family.

He worked with a quiet fierceness to provide, to protect, to uplift. He was a rock—steady and steadfast, even when life threw its curveballs. A man who showed up—whether you needed help fixing a car, advice on real estate, or just someone to sit with under the stars and ask, “What else might be out there?”

His hands were worn from work, but never too tired to offer a hug. His eyes sparkled not just from curiosity—but from the love he had for his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and all those lucky enough to be within his orbit.

He was proud of his legacy, and rightly so. Tom was the kind of man you never forget—not because of the things he owned or achieved, but because of the feeling you got when he was near. He made life interesting. He made people feel seen. He made the unknown feel a little more knowable.

And if ever there was someone destined to explore the galaxies after life, it’s Tom. If there’s a cosmic highway somewhere out there—he’s cruising it in a T-bird, radio on, chasing another theory, telling new jokes, and looking for gold in the stars.

We’ll miss him fiercely, but we’ll carry his stories, his laughter, his wild ideas, and his boundless heart with us, always.

Because Tomas didn’t just leave a memory—
He left a legacy.
