Age of Sigmar 8/30 Releases – A Collector’s Perspective
For miniature collectors, Games Workshop’s 8/30 Age of Sigmar wave is a feast of intricate sculpts and thematic artistry. While gamers will appreciate the updated rules and battletomes, for us collectors, the appeal is in the craftsmanship, presentation, and long-term display value. You can see the full gaming-focused breakdown at The Hidden Lair’s release post — but here’s why these pieces matter from a collector’s angle. Centerpiece Spearhead Sets Spearhead: Cursed Shacklehorde – A dense collection of Nighthaunt models that balance dynamic posing with haunting details. Multiple centerpiece-quality models in one box make this a cost-effective collector’s buy. Spearhead: Charnel Watch – A sculptor’s showcase of grotesque armor, bestial forms, and unsettling expressions — this is Flesh-Eater Courts at their most visually striking. Display-Worthy Heroes Lord Vitriolic – An ethereal form suspended in mid-motion, with flowing robes and otherworldly details that make it a painter’s dream. High Falconer Felgryn – The falcon is as much the star here as the commander himself — a rare example of avian sculpting in Warhammer fantasy lines. The Scarlet Jury – Dynamic group poses that look fantastic as a diorama. Books & Lore as Collectibles The new Battletomes (both Nighthaunt and Flesh-Eater Courts, in English & French) are hardback editions — the kind that hold up beautifully on a collector’s shelf.Paired with Warscroll Cards, they become complete thematic sets. Faction Dice Special edition dice — like the Nighthaunt’s ghostly hue or the Flesh-Eater Courts’ grim motif — are ephemeral items. Once out of print, they often command surprising secondary market prices. Novel Tie-In Warhammer: The Legend of Sigmar (PB) offers narrative depth to the miniatures on your shelf. It’s a great companion for collectors who appreciate the lore behind their display pieces. Whether you plan to keep these sealed or build and paint them for a showcase, this release wave blends artistry, rarity, and faction identity in a way that will stand out in any collection.

An Ode to Tomas Adrian Aguado
Written with love and admiration by Derrick Bradshaw “If you’re gonna go, go big!” – Tomas Adrian Aguado There are men who live quietly, and there are men who leave behind echoes—of laughter, wonder, and unshakable love.Tomas Adrian Aguado was the latter. Tom didn’t just live life—he charged through it, head held high, curiosity blazing, and heart wide open. He was a rare soul whose personality couldn’t be boxed in or defined by a single role. He was a father, a grandfather, a brother, a thinker, a doer, a dreamer. A man of contradictions and harmony: intelligent and playful, grounded yet fascinated by the stars. He had the type of humor that caught you off guard—dry, unexpected, sometimes downright outrageous. He could turn an ordinary day into something worth remembering. Whether he was talking aliens, ghosts, thunderstorms, or Thunderbird cars, you could always count on Tomas to bring the spark of the unexplained into your world. He loved the paranormal—not in passing, but with a sincere fascination that made you believe, too. Black holes, gold mines, Martians, the weather—nothing was off-limits. He had theories. He had questions. And oh, did he have stories. But beyond the mysteries of the universe, Tom’s true center of gravity was his family. He worked with a quiet fierceness to provide, to protect, to uplift. He was a rock—steady and steadfast, even when life threw its curveballs. A man who showed up—whether you needed help fixing a car, advice on real estate, or just someone to sit with under the stars and ask, “What else might be out there?” His hands were worn from work, but never too tired to offer a hug. His eyes sparkled not just from curiosity—but from the love he had for his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, and all those lucky enough to be within his orbit. He was proud of his legacy, and rightly so. Tom was the kind of man you never forget—not because of the things he owned or achieved, but because of the feeling you got when he was near. He made life interesting. He made people feel seen. He made the unknown feel a little more knowable. And if ever there was someone destined to explore the galaxies after life, it’s Tom. If there’s a cosmic highway somewhere out there—he’s cruising it in a T-bird, radio on, chasing another theory, telling new jokes, and looking for gold in the stars. We’ll miss him fiercely, but we’ll carry his stories, his laughter, his wild ideas, and his boundless heart with us, always. Because Tomas didn’t just leave a memory—He left a legacy.

Traveling, Food, and BACH News
Traveling around the world is an exciting adventure that allows us to explore different cultures, landscapes, and most importantly, food. As a food enthusiast, one of my favorite parts of traveling is trying new and delicious dishes from around the globe One of the best ways to truly immerse yourself in a new culture is by experiencing its cuisine. From street food vendors in bustling markets to fine dining restaurants in cosmopolitan cities, there is no shortage of options when it comes to sampling the local fare. One of my most memorable culinary experiences was in Japan, where I had the opportunity to try authentic sushi at a traditional omakase restaurant. The chef expertly prepared each piece of sushi right in front of me, showcasing the freshest and highest quality ingredients. The flavors were unlike anything I had ever tasted before, and it was a truly unforgettable dining experience. Exploring new places to eat while traveling is not only a delicious experience but also a way to connect with locals and learn about their culinary traditions. Whether it’s sampling street food in Thailand, indulging in tapas in Spain, or savoring a decadent croissant in France, each bite tells a story and adds to the rich tapestry of our travel memories. It’s important to step out of your comfort zone and try new things when it comes to food while traveling. You never know what culinary delights you may discover or how a particular dish may become your new favorite. So next time you find yourself in a new destination, be sure to explore the local food scene and indulge in the flavors of the world. Bon appétit! Speaking of travel, this past week, I had the pleasure of meeting with investors in Orlando to set up BACH Real Estate Investment Group in Florida. This expansion will create many new opportunities for BACH. We plan to also expand BACH to Tucson, AR in the near future. Keep an eye out to see the progress on our exciting news!
